“We started using technology as part of the Prime Minister’s Digital India Mission, and one by one we developed artefacts that collectively became the DPI - Digital Public Infrastructure. The UPI system under DPI has not only transformed the lives of people but also given us global recognition. And that success has helped us develop many financial services like microinsurance, microcredit, or digital credit solutions”, stated Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw, Minister of Railways, Information & Broadcasting, and Electronics & Information Technology while delivering the keynote address at the session on India@2047: Future Ready Tracks for a Digital and Connected Nation at the CII Annual Business Summit 2025 themed “Building Trust – India First” held today in New Delhi.  He also highlighted that among the many milestones we have achieved in the past decade, one of the biggest is that we have also become the 2nd largest cargo-carrying railway in the world. This consistent growth has helped reduce pressure on the roads, reduce emissions of CO₂, and we save more oil as today we have partially electrified the entire railway network, he added. CII Punjab hosted its 2nd edition of the Exploring IT Frontiers conference on 23 May at Chandigarh, bringing together top tech leaders, innovators, and government officials.   With insightful sessions on the Future of AI, Web3 & Enterprise Tech, Generative AI in Industry, and SME & Startup Enablement through Tech, the conference positioned Punjab as a strong contender for India’s next IT & tech hub.   Key addresses by Mr. K.K. 💠 CII J&K Interaction with Deputy CM, Jammu & Kashmir 💠 A Three member CII delegation led by Dr M A Alim, Chairman CII J&K Council called on Hon’ble Dy CM Mr Surinder Singh Chowdhary, he was accompanied by Mr Iqram Shafiee, Vice Chairman CII J&K. Dr Alim raised the issues of need for infrastructure upgradation at industrial estates of Srinagar and Industrial Estate Khangrail Jammu. The delegation offered to set up two Skill Centers one each at Jammu and Srinagar under the aegis of Skill development department. Mr Iqram Ali Shafiee, Vice Chairman CII J&K offered free training at CII member premises to students of ITIs and Polytechnics and issue of updating course in ITI.
