“Energy is one of the decisive indicators of how well the economy is doing. If your energy consumption is up, it indicates progress, if it goes down, it means there are some fault lines. It is an essential prerequisite for economic progress”, said Shri Hardeep Singh Puri, Hon'ble Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas while addressing the Special Plenary - Securing India’s Energy Future: Transition & Global Alignment at the CII Annual Business Summit 2025 themed “Building Trust – India First” held today at New Delhi. The Minister stressed that “Green Hydrogen is the fuel of the future, and if we can capitalise on that between now and 2030, there will be a quantum jump after that. If Green Hydrogen takes off and we combine that with a good biofuel blending program and flex-fuel vehicles, CNG, etc., it would be a totally new ecological boost in the energy sector, he added. The Woman Exemplar Awards 2025 were presented by Smt.
