There’s a better way to build startups than the average we see around us. But it has to be intentional and from day zero, or you quickly set a course which is hard to break. A ridiculous majority of all venture dollars, founder exits, stock option wealth, and highest salaries in startups have gone to men. We can’t change this overnight, but Ranvir and I are trying to make an impact here. Equity grants are the key. Salary is income, but equity is wealth.
