Innovations for Defence Excellence (iDEX) by Defence Innovation Organisation (DIO), Department of Defence Production, Ministry of Defence, Government of India. iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) is the flagship scheme of Ministry of Defence, Govt of India launched by the Hon’ble PM in 2018. The objective of the scheme is to create an eco-system to foster innovation and technology development in Defence and Aerospace by engaging with startups, individual innovators, MSMEs, incubators, etc. Further, iDEX provides them grants/funding and other support to carry out R&D which has good potential for future adoption for Indian defence and aerospace needs. iDEX has emerged as a game changer in the defence sector and is PM awardee for Innovation.

Raksha Mantri took stock of the security situation and the operational preparedness of the Indian Army during the Army Commanders’ Conference in Jaisalmer. Detailed deliberations were held with the senior leadership of the Indian Army on key aspects including Grey Zone Warfare and the roadmap for Jointness, Aatmanirbharta and Innovation. He virtually inaugurated Technology Enablers including the Edge Data Centres of Konark and Fire & Fury Corps of the Indian Army. By next year, all Corps will have Edge Data Centres across the nation. He also launched Equipment Helpline for the Indian Army, Sainik Yatri Mitra App and released ‘Defence Millet Dishes Compendium’, compiled by Army Service Corp Centre & College, Bengaluru. 🇮🇳

Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh today addressed Naval Commanders’ Conference in New Delhi, commending the Indian Navy for creating a deterrent posture during Operation Sindoor that forced Pakistan to remain in the harbour or near its coast. He described the operation as a symbol of India’s will power & capability, and a message to the world that we’re always ready to respond to every challenge.
