Congratulations to Raghu Panicker, CEO of Kaynes Semicon Pvt Ltd, and the entire team for driving a new era in India’s semiconductor journey! A huge shoutout to Kaynes Semicon for setting a new benchmark under the India Semiconductor Mission 1.0. They’ve successfully rolled out India’s first commercially packaged Multi-Chip Module (MCM) from their state-of-the-art OSAT facility in Sanand. The first shipment of 900 Intelligent Power Modules (IPMs) is now on its way to Alpha & Omega Semiconductor (AOS), USA, marking a historic leap for India’s electronics and semiconductor ecosystem. Each module is a powerhouse of 17 dies, including IGBTs, FRDs, controller ICs, and diodes combining precision, innovation, and scale into a world-class package. With the Sanand facility set to reach a full capacity of 6.3 million chips per day, this milestone underscores India’s growing capability to compete at a global level in semiconductor manufacturing. Congratulating Kaynes Semicon on this achievement, Shri ashok chandak, CEO & President of SEMI India & IESA, said: "This rollout of India’s first commercially packaged MCM marks a defining moment in our OSAT journey, showcasing India’s innovation, quality, and manufacturing strength. IESA Leaders shape the Dialogue at 'Semiconductor Ecosystem Conference', Pune The recent #SemiconductorEcosystemConference in Pune (organised by Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture, Pune (MCCIA) and STPI - Software Technology Parks of India) brought together the brightest minds shaping India’s semiconductor future, and IESA was proud to be at the heart of it!
