  • When cheating is easier than being honest, maybe the system is broken... This Reddit thread explained how cheating works: dual monitors, a friend feeding answers, photos scanned and mirrored in real time. Perfectly executed. The scary truth isn’t just that candidates cheat. It’s that interviews can be passed without showing real skill. That your process rewards setup, not ability. That honest candidates get filtered out while someone orchestrating a mini-production slips through. Cheating isn’t the problem. The system is. If your interviews were designed differently, would this even be possible? We’ve explored these setups and how hiring teams can actually fix them, in our Interview Cheating Playbook. • Imagine interviewing someone…and realizing their lips are moving, but it’s not their voice. That actually happened. A recruiter shared that the candidate seemed to be lip-syncing through the entire 30-minute interview, someone else feeding the answers in real time. It sounds absurd, but that’s where interviews are now. AI filters, ghost speakers, hidden prompters- cheating has gone from obvious to orchestrated. And the scary part? It’s getting harder to tell who’s actually on the other side of the screen. The solution isn’t just to “catch” them. It’s to redesign interviews so these tricks don’t even work. That’s exactly what we built the Interview Cheating Playbook for-helping teams spot, prevent and outsmart new-age interview fraud.

𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗳𝗿𝗮𝘂𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘄 𝗮 𝗩𝗖-𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗺𝗼𝗱𝗲𝗹. Cluely has hit $7M in ARR and it costs just $20/month to use it. For less than a Netflix subscription cost, candidates can: → Get real-time AI answers during live interviews → Use proxy interview services → Deploy deepfake face filters → Have remote "helpers" feed solutions The infrastructure to cheat is cheaper, faster, and better funded than most companies' hiring infrastructure. Let that sink in. Gartner predicts 1 in 4 candidates will be fake by 2028. Not sketchy. Not exaggerating. Fake. So here's my question: If the cheating tech stack is this advanced, why is our hiring tech stack still running on outdated processes? Most interviewers don't even know what to look for. The methods have evolved, but our awareness hasn't. That's why the team at Intervue.io has documented everything - the tools being used, the red flags worth knowing, and what actually works to counter this: https://lnkd.in/gYzA-U27 Because if you're hiring in 2025 without understanding this landscape, you're not screening talent. You're screening who's better at buying the right tools. #Recruitment #HR #InterviewFraud

  • Rule #1 of cheating in interviews: don’t screen share. Rule #2: definitely don’t screen share your AI assistant answering for you. That’s exactly what someone did. The interviewer watched in real time as the candidate waited for an AI chatbot to think and then repeated its words, perfectly, emotionlessly. It’s easy to roll your eyes and call it cheating. But here’s the harder truth: If an AI can perfectly get through your interview, maybe your process is testing memorization, not thinking. The problem isn’t that candidates are gaming the system. It’s that the system is gameable. And for that we built the Interview Cheating Playbook, not to expose candidates, but to expose broken interviews. • 𝗨𝗻𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿 𝗼𝗽𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗼𝗻: The real problem isn’t that candidates cheat. It’s that the system makes it this easy. This Reddit post describes a candidate using Apple’s copy-paste sync between Mac and iPhone to feed ChatGPT answers during a backend DSA interview and cleared it without anyone noticing. Wild, right? But also telling if your interview can be gamed this easily, what are you even testing for? Cheating has gotten so creative, it’s time hiring teams matched that creativity. That’s why we built the Interview Cheating Playbook- the red flags, detection cues and smarter ways to design interviews so tricks like this don’t work anymore. • 🚨 𝗖𝗔𝗦𝗘 #𝟯: 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗧𝗚𝗣𝗧 𝗖𝗔𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗧𝗘 This one's controversial... 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗼: Senior engineer. System design interview. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝘃𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲:  → Every answer perfectly structured (Problem → Solution → Trade-offs)  → Uses textbook phrases: "At scale, we'd implement..."  → Sounds like it's reading from documentation  → BUT: Maintains eye contact, no suspicious pauses  → Asks intelligent follow-up questions  → Adapts when we change requirements This one's splitting our team.
