The Friends of Champions 12.3 India Network hosted its 11th quarterly meeting, bringing together 34 member organizations committed to reducing #foodloss and #foodwaste across India. The meeting saw members exchange #insights, share progress, and explore opportunities to scale collective action on food loss and waste reduction. It only took 🗓️ 90 days for #Jhansi, India, to build the country’s first #NetZero️ public library. Its innovative design incorporates 100% on-site #energy generation, strategic #WaterConservation, and locally-sourced, eco-friendly materials. How did they do it? The #city used a #OneStopShop business model to manage #JhansiLibrary’s engineering, procurement and construction. ⛹ 🛝 🚸 The #NurturingNeighborhoods initiative, led by Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs in collaboration with Van Leer Foundation and WRI India, aims to enhance the #health and #wellbeing of infants, toddlers and their caregivers in cities. The program that started with 60 cities in the application phase continues to work with 9 deepdive cities in the current phase to mainstream the young children and caregiver centric lens in urban development and create thriving environments for families. The program has spurred cities to implement and scale solutions by adopting context specific strategies towards transforming early childhood development centres and parks and open spaces into family-friendly environments.  👇 For more see below

At the e-Mobility Week in #Africa, the Global South Policymakers’ Exchange convened government representatives from India, Ethiopia, Kenya, and South Africa to discuss how supply-side regulations (SSRs) are shaping the electric mobility transition across the Global South.    The discussion reaffirmed that when tailored to local contexts and anchored in political will, supply-side regulations can unlock markets, drive innovation, and accelerate a just and inclusive e-mobility transition across the Global South.   #EVMatters #ElectricMobility
