HT Media Group Appoints Swapnil Ravindran as Chief Revenue Officer – South HT Media Group has named Swapnil Ravindran as its new Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) – South, where he will lead revenue growth across Hindustan Times, Hindustan Hindi, and Mint, further strengthening the One HT strategy in the region. With over two decades of leadership in media and advertising, Ravindran has worked with leading organizations including Bennett Coleman & Co. Ltd. (The Times of India), InMobi, Star India, Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited Network, Yahoo, and Kasturi & Sons, Ltd. At The Times of India, he served as Associate Vice President & Response Head – Bangalore, where he pioneered AR-enabled print campaigns. During his tenure at InMobi, he played a key role in scaling the digital native and lock-screen advertising business, driving measurable growth and innovation. Notably, Ravindran spent a decade at HT Media earlier in his career, leading sales strategy, business development, and brand partnerships. Ajit Varghese, the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) of Reliance-backed JioStar, has stepped down. He will now become the Group CEO of Madison Media and its outdoor ad division, OOH. Mahesh Shetty, who currently heads revenue and large customer business at JioStar, will take over as the new CRO, according to an internal memo. Before the $8.5 billion Disney-Reliance merger, Varghese was EVP and head of network and ad sales at The Walt Disney Company. Earlier, he held senior roles at ShareChat and Moj as Chief Commercial Officer and was Global President at Wavemaker. Cloud-based broadcast infrastructure company Amagi Media Labs Ltd. has filed its Draft Red Herring Prospectus (DRHP) with the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI). The proposed initial public offering consists of a fresh issue of equity shares aggregating up to Rs 1,020 crore, alongside an offer for sale (OFS) of up to 3.41 crore equity shares by existing shareholders, including private equity and venture capital funds. The filing also notes that Amagi may consider a pre-IPO placement of up to Rs 204 crore, which would proportionately reduce the size of the fresh issue.
