About

As a Programs Officer at Young Leaders for Active Citizenship (YLAC), I design and implement engaging and impactful programs that empower young people to become active and responsible citizens. I also manage relationships with various stakeholders, including government officials, civil society organizations, media outlets, and academic institutions, to create synergies and collaborations for our programs.

I am passionate about economics, policy, and gender issues, and I use my skills and knowledge to advocate for social change. I run a weekly newsletter and blog called The Wannabe Economist, where I simplify and decode complex academic jargons and issues for a wide audience. I have been recognized as a LinkedIn Top Economics Voice and a Business Mint 30 under 30 Emerging Industry Expert for my work. I have also represented India as a young speaker at the South Asian Youth Summit and published several articles and papers on various platforms. I hold a Master of Arts degree in Development and Labour Studies from Jawaharlal Nehru University, where my focus was on gender and labour policies.
