The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has strengthened digital payment security with new authentication guidelines which come into effect from April 1, 2026. The central banks has made two-factor authentication a must, with at least one credential being dynamically generated for each transaction to lower risks in both domestic and cross-border scenarios. ✨ Next up, we're proud to showcase Aishwarya Jaishankar's journey on BuildHER - an initiative by WaterBridge Ventures in association with Amazon Web Services (AWS) 🚀 When Indians were waking up to the power of mobile banking, Aishwarya was architecting India's first digitally reimagined savings account. She was making a legacy banking system speak the language of digital natives.   🫰🏽 India's hunger for credit is well-known. Only 5% of Indians own credit cards, which meant many small business owners were denied credit, young professionals were unable to build credit history, and dreams were deferred due to financial barriers.   After 15+ years of climbing the corporate ladder at HDFC Bank, Kotak Mahindra Bank, and HSBC, Aishwarya could have easily settled into a comfortable corporate cocoon. Instead, she chose to build the future of India's credit accessibility. In 2021, she co-founded Hyperface Technologies - Asia’s first “Credit Cards as a Service” platform.    Hyperface set out to simplify access to credit, launching credit card programs for neobanks, e-commerce platforms, and fintechs in just 1-2 months, down from 1-2 years previously. Hyperface’s modular API-first platform turned 18-month IT marathons into seamless sprint launches. However, as a woman starting up in fintech, the first question she was asked was about her network, or the lack thereof.    All her career, Aishwarya was trained to aggressively chase results, which left her with little time to be nice to anyone. Also, she didn't adhere to accepted networking norms. Her answer?   “Aim to be the best person at the table—not just the best woman.” That mindset shines through Hyperface’s culture: inclusive, merit-led, and relentlessly focused on solving real human problems. #NationalFinTechDay Fintech investment fund Cedar-IBSi Capital & FinTech Lab has secured commitments of nearly ₹100 crore for its new fund, which has a target of ₹175 crore. The fund, which focuses on B2B financial infrastructure companies, has received support from institutional investors like MUTHOOT FINANCE LTD and IIFL Capital Services Limited, as well as several prominent family offices. According to Founder Sahil Anand, the fund plans to build a portfolio of 10-15 companies, making pre-Series A and Series A investments of $500,000 to $1 million. It has already invested in two firms and is actively evaluating a pipeline of new opportunities, particularly in the AI for financial services space, as financial institutions are now ready for a major technological transformation.
