Semiconductor solutions provider Microchip Technology Inc. India Pvt Ltd has acquired 1.72 lakh sq ft of office space in EPIP Zone, Phase 2, Whitefield, for ₹176 crore, according to documents accessed from Propstack. The purchase from Ascendum Solutions India Pvt Ltd spans two commercial blocks with built-up areas of 92,098 sq ft and 80,395 sq ft, respectively, across a basement, ground, and three floors. The acquisition marks a strategic expansion plan by Microchip Technology Inc., strengthening its presence in India’s key technology hub. The newly acquired property will serve as a significant base for operations, enabling closer collaboration with local partners and customers, while supporting its growing workforce. Industry experts believe this investment will bolster Microchip’s ability to deliver advanced semiconductor products and solutions for automotive, industrial, and communication applications. Bengaluru’s Whitefield, often dubbed the Silicon Valley of India, provides the ideal ecosystem for innovation and growth. This move highlights Microchip’s commitment to India’s fast-growing semiconductor and electronics sectors, fueled by government initiatives and rising domestic demand.
