Announcing IDTA: $1B+ to accelerate India’s deep tech with Blume Ventures as a founding member. India Deep Tech Investment Alliance (IDTA) is a new coalition of U.S. and Indian investors committing over $1B to back deep-tech companies built in India. Blume Ventures is proud to be a founding member along with Celesta Capital, Accel, Gaja Capital, Ideaspring Capital, Premji Invest, Tenacity Ventures, and Venture Catalysts++ | India's 1st Multi-Stage VC. IDTA aligns with the Government of India’s ₹1 lakh crore Research, Development & Innovation (RDI) Scheme and the U.S.–India TRUST initiative. The goal is to catalyse long-horizon, thesis-driven capital for sectors that move the needle — semiconductors, space, quantum, robotics, AI, biotech, medical devices, energy/climate, and the digital economy. India’s deep-tech founders need three things at once: patient capital, policy alignment, and cross-border pathways. IDTA is designed to deliver all three. Linkrunner, an App attribution and analytics platform has raised Rs 5 crore in a pre-seed funding round led by Titan Capital. The round also saw participation from angel investor Samir Sood and early-stage venture firm 2am VC. 🌍 Equilibrium raises $3M seed round to scale carbon removal projects across India Equilibrium, a digitally-enabled full-stack carbon project developer, has secured $3 million in seed funding from Kalaari Capital, Peak XV Partners, and Avaana Capital. The startup integrates carbon science, digital monitoring, and community-led execution to deliver high-quality, verifiable carbon removals while strengthening resilience in India’s food systems. Its portfolio spans agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, mangrove restoration, and biochar—solutions that sequester carbon, diversify farmer incomes, and convert agricultural and biomass waste into valuable products. The fresh capital will accelerate eight pipeline projects across nine states, covering 120,000 hectares and engaging 150,000+ smallholder farmers. Bengaluru-based startup BQP has raised an oversubscribed $4.9 million seed round, pushing its total funding to $6.6 million. The round was led by Monta Vista Capital, with participation from New York Ventures, Arc Ventures, Armory Square Ventures, Emergent Ventures, and existing backers like Paradigm Shift Capital and Griffiss Institute. The funds will fuel the expansion of BQP’s flagship platform, BQPhy, which targets mission-critical sectors including aerospace, defence, and semiconductors. This milestone comes on the heels of BQP’s pilot agreement with the Air Force Research Laboratory’s (AFRL) Aerospace Systems Directorate under a CRADA, aimed at developing quantum-accelerated simulation tools. Founder and CEO Abhishek Chopra emphasized the real-world impact, stating, “The traction we’re experiencing from AFRL/RQ and industry-leading design partners validates the immediate impact and substantial ROI our platform delivers today.” BQPhy is built for hybrid computing systems, leveraging CPUs, GPUs, and quantum machines. The current platform offers a 10x speed boost using quantum-inspired solvers, while the upcoming quantum-native versions aim to scale up to 1000x on future quantum hardware. Roger Krakoff of Monta Vista Capital highlighted the market potential, saying, “BQP directly tackles critical bottlenecks in the rapidly evolving $22 billion simulation industry.” BQP is also working closely with top-tier partners, including India’s Ministry of Heavy Industries, ABB, and a tier-1 aerospace manufacturer. On the quantum front, it’s collaborating with Intel, IBM, Classiq, and Strangeworks.
