PoSH Awareness Week at GE Vernova’s Vadodara office We just wrapped up an insightful and engaging #PoSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) Awareness Week at our office — a topic that's close to our values and crucial to fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace. PoSH in India stands for Prevention of Sexual Harassment of Women at the Workplace. It refers to the legal and organizational framework established to prevent and address sexual harassment in the workplace, governed by The Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013 Over the past week, we hosted a series of interactive sessions for our colleagues, including: # An exclusive training for the Internal Committee (IC) members # An all-employee awareness session and live web chat to address questions and clarify doubts # An in-person session for our women colleagues focused on understanding their rights # A dedicated session for people leaders to help them recognize their role in fostering a positive and inclusive team culture We also organized a fun online quiz at the end to check how well our people understood the Act and the information shared with them, and we were happy to see a very positive engagement. Creating awareness about PoSH is more than a checkbox for us — throughout the year, we rely on many such initiatives to raise awareness and engagement around respectful workplace practices, empower employees with knowledge of their rights, encourage open conversations, and foster a culture where everyone feels safe, valued, and heard. A special thanks to our external IC member, Sarita Sinha, MSW, for leading the insightful sessions at our office, and to our internal IC members for curating an engaging and impactful PoSH Awareness Week. A huge thank you to our IC members and all the participants for contributing to this meaningful initiative.
