Eight students, Sachin Saurabh Saxena, Harsimran Singh, Pooja Prakash, Aradhna Prasad, Roopali, Parag Jain, Raj Kumar and Sumit Khanna received gold medals for standing first in honours in the Panjab University in the BE degree examination held in May 2000.

Earlier, the Principal, Prof R.S. Gupta, had introduced Prof Pathak to the audience and read out the college annual report, highlighting the various achievements of the students and faculty members of the college. He announced that of the 273 students who had cleared the BE examination, 247 had secured first divisions. He also informed that almost 250 students currently studying in the final year had already been offered jobs during campus placements.
Prof H.R. Seedher, Dean Academic Affairs of the college proposed a vote of thanks.
