Elev8 Venture Partners, a new-age venture capital firm founded by former Kae Capital partner Navin Honagudi, has successfully closed its maiden fund at ₹1,400 crore (approximately $160 million), marking one of the largest growth-stage fund closures in India this year. The fund, originally targeting $200 million, reached a strategic close with strong commitments from domestic and international backers, including KB Investment, a South Korean financial powerhouse which anchored nearly 20% of the fund. Other LPs include sovereign wealth funds, unicorn founders, and family offices from India, Hong Kong, and the Middle East. Elev8 is positioning itself in a space that many Indian VCs still tread cautiously growth-stage tech startups with a clear path to profitability. The firm has already deployed one-third of the fund across five standout companies: Astrotalk, IDfy, smallcase, Porter, and Snapmint. These startups are scaling rapidly, with many reporting annual growth rates above 30% while maintaining positive unit economics. The fund plans to invest in 12–14 companies, targeting ticket sizes of $10–15 million per investment, focusing on companies valued between $100–300 million. The remaining capital is expected to be deployed over the next 12–18 months.
