IPO-bound PW (PhysicsWallah) has acquired a 40% stake in Delhi-based UPSC coaching institute SarrthiIAS, valuing the company at around ₹250 Cr, according to reports. The deal is expected to strengthen PW’s presence in the civil services test prep segment by integrating its tech infrastructure with Sarrthi’s coaching and mentorship offerings. Founded in 2023 by IIT Roorkee alumnus Varun Jain, Sarrthi IAS provides UPSC coaching, personalised mentorship, and operates both an app and an offline centre in Delhi. Its courses are priced between ₹18,000 and ₹27,000. This move comes as PW prepares for its upcoming IPO, valued at an estimated $3.7 Bn, after recently securing SEBI’s nod. India’s Energy Transition - From Ambition to Impact.   Over nearly three decades advising clients in the energy and infrastructure space, I've witnessed India's #Energy sector transform from majorly conventional power sources to currently a mix of renewable energy, green hydrogen as well. What was once a narrow supply base is now a far more dynamic landscape. The momentum is real.   The World Bank estimates India will require more than $2.4 trillion investments to build climate-resilient #Urban infrastructure by 2050. For #Investors, it is an opportunity to participate in one of the most compelling growth stories. For #India, it is about converting capital into projects that can power the economy for decades by blending public and private funding and structuring investments for creating long-term value.   That said, the road is not without hurdles. Projects sometimes get held up due to funding costs, delayed clearances, and fragmented supply chains. Unlocking momentum requires policy stability, scalable manufacturing, and financing aligned with long-term goals.   The way forward lies in building an ecosystem that fast-tracks this transition through policy stability, coordinated execution, and strong delivery mechanisms. I’ve seen first-hand how clear integration plans, dedicated project teams, and active monitoring can turn complex infrastructure initiatives into success stories.   At Deloitte, we work alongside Energy sector Investors and Government leaders to turn investment plans into bankable, deliverable projects. That includes shaping the deal strategy, structuring partnerships, guiding disinvestment programmes, and building governance and frameworks that keep execution on track. The objective is clear: translate capital commitments into lasting economic returns thus creating shareholder’s value.   Energy is more than just building infrastructure.
