🚨 WeWork India targets $1 bn IPO valuation, turns profitable 🏢 1️⃣ WeWork India, a premium flexible workspace operator, is set to debut on Indian public markets with a Rs 3,000 crore ($338 million) IPO in October 2025, one of the year’s largest pure play offer for sale (OFS) listings. 2️⃣ Embassy Buildcon LLP, the dominant shareholder, will offload shares worth $243 million, while WeWork Global via 1 Ariel Way Tenant Ltd will sell worth $95 million at the top band. 3️⃣ After the IPO, Embassy Group’s stake will drop from 76% to just under 57%, while WeWork Global’s will reduce from 23% to about 8%. 4️⃣ At an indicated IPO price band of Rs 615–648 per share, the company will be valued at approximately Rs 8,685 crore ($979 million). This marks a stark contrast to the global WeWork business, which, amid post-bankruptcy restructuring, US asset sales operates at a valuation below $300 million for its remaining operations.

Pronto, a home services startup launched in April 2025, has raised $11 million (₹96 crore) in a funding round co-led by General Catalyst and Glade Brook Capital. Bain Capital Ventures also participated. The company is now valued at $45 million (₹394 crore). Founded by Anjali Sardana, Pronto helps households in Gurugram book reliable professionals for cleaning, laundry, dishwashing, and basic meal prep. The platform runs on a shift-based model that allows for 10-minute fulfillment. This system also ensures workers get steady shifts and higher wages. With the new funding, Pronto plans to train and onboard 10,000 professionals, invest in quality control, and build out real-time tech to manage operations more efficiently. Over the next 12 to 18 months, the startup will expand to Mumbai, Bengaluru, and other metro areas. It’s planning to set up local micro-hubs in residential clusters to speed up service times. Elevation Capital launches $400 million late-stage fund to back IPO-bound startups 📌 Venture capital firm Elevation Capital, known for early bets on Paytm, Swiggy, Meesho, and Urban Company, is entering new territory. The firm has launched a $400 million fund focused on late-stage tech companies preparing for IPOs. ● The vehicle, called Elevation Holding, will cut cheques between $20 million and $50 million across 10–15 companies, Elevation Capital co-managing partner Mukul Arora told ET. ● This new fund will primarily back companies in the consumer and financial services segments with a technology focus, Arora added. ● The fund will run in parallel with its Fund VIII, a $670 million early-stage vehicle that invests $2–5 million in startups.
