On September 11, the city of Genemuiden celebrated the inauguration of the renovated Tapijtmuseum, attended by Her Majesty Queen Máxima of the Netherlands — an occasion that highlighted the cultural and economic importance of the carpet industry for the region. The museum celebrates the rich heritage of Dutch flooring while looking ahead to its future: a new section is dedicated to our ECONYL® brand regenerated nylon, recognizing Aquafil’s role in shaping a more circular and forward-looking carpet sector. This achievement was made possible through the collaboration of leading players such as Condor Group, reflecting a shared commitment to promoting innovation and responsibility across the industry. Gianluca Bernardi, EMEA BCF Sales Director at Aquafil, commented after the event: “The fact that a dedicated space in the Tapijtmuseum has been created to showcase ECONYL® regenerated nylon demonstrates how circularity and responsibility are now opening new horizons in eco-design and are fully embedded in the identity of the carpet sector.” 📖 Read more insights from Gianluca in the article linked in the comments below.
