Last week, I had the privilege of moderating a panel at A Creativity Revival — the Creativity Pioneers’s Unconference — where we explored the intersections of creativity, food, and agriculture through the voices of remarkable pioneers. What follows was the short introduction I shared to open the conversation titled: “What Would Seeds Say If They Could Talk? Creativity, Agriculture and Growing Beyond Survival.” "Until a few months ago, I was part of the Moleskine Foundation, where I helped shape the Creativity Pioneers Fund — an initiative rooted in the belief that creativity is not a privilege, but a form of agency. Today, my path has taken me somewhere that might seem different — yet feels deeply connected: Avignonesi, Italy’s largest biodynamic winery. It’s more than a place that produces wine; it’s a living ecosystem that cares for the land, the community, and the future. It’s a space where regeneration is both a philosophy and a daily practice. And through this lens, I’ve come to see that food is never just food. Food is culture. It’s tradition. It’s ritual — the shared story of a place and of the people who inhabit it. It’s one of the most intimate ways in which creativity, memory, and identity come together. Today, as we listen to our guests — pioneers working at the intersection of creativity, food, and agriculture — we’ll explore what it means to cultivate not only what feeds us, but what connects us: to land, to one another, and to the future we wish to grow." Thank you Lwando Xasoand Marina Mussapi for this opportunity, and to Fabio Aranzulla, Beatrice Greco and Joao Martins for joining the panel. Until next year! #Avignonesi #MoleskineFoundation #CreativityPioneersFund
