We've reached a major milestone in open robotic microsurgery: the first-in-human intracranial brain surgeries using #Symani have been completed by Adnan Siddiqui, MD, PhD as part of a neurosurgical clinical trial. The study, sponsored by The Jacobs Institute, is evaluating Symani's safety and early effectiveness in treating patients with Moyamoya disease. This marks an exciting step toward expanding robotic microsurgery into neurosurgery, a specialty defined by complex anatomy and the need for exceptional precision.
