In the first phase consisted in studying the most advanced theories about the sustainability linked to planning both in urban and rural areas, particularly in re- establishing a link between territory, suburbs and city centres in regional areas. The course was structured in two phases. In the first phase consisted in studying the most advanced theories about the sustainability linked to planning both in urban and rural areas, particularly in re- establishing a link between territory, suburbs and city centres in regional areas. Were also examined all the technology and the most important projects in Europe on the theme of environmental sustainability and urban. At this stage we have also compared the different experiences brought by each university, through a presentation of projects made before the start of the course by every country. In the second phase were produced projects on areas in the territory of Tours, designed by six groups, each containing six students, each from a different country, to ensure that integration was full and complete.
