This recent article from Industrial & Engineering Chemistry Research – “Transforming the Process Industries through Electrification: Challenges and Opportunities” – captures the tension well. The process industry faces urgent challenges in decarbonizing thermal energy systems, with high-grade heat (above 150°C) being one of the toughest to electrify. At HEATEN, we're tackling that head-on with high-temperature heat pumps (HTHPs) operating up to 200°C, enabling direct electrification of industrial processes that have long depended on fossil fuels.
