Using water as a tool for cooperation through dialogue, capacity building and concrete actions.
نبذة عنا
Blue Peace Middle East is a non-governmental regional initiative that aims to strengthen cooperation over water across borders, sectors and generations. Working with senior water experts, academics, politicians and journalists among others, the initiative is dedicated to improving the region’s water, food and energy security and preserving ecosystems in a changing climate. Blue Peace ME is the first initiative of its kind in the Middle East. As a regionally owned dialogue platform, it has made it its mission to transform water from a potential source of conflict into an instrument for cooperation and peace. With partners in Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon and Türkiye, the initiative uses dialogue, capacity building and concrete action to realise its vision of using the power of water to build a peaceful future for the region.

We are very proud of Dalia Abd AlRahman, our Junior Media Hub member, for her continuous efforts in raising awareness on water and WEFE-related issues, and for promoting the spirit of cooperation and joint action on limited resources and shared challenges in the region. Although Dalia couldn’t attend the in-person bootcamp in Jordan, she made use of the 5-month training under the Blue Peace ME Junior Media Hub to continue playing a vital role in empowering youth and raising awareness on water-related issues through media and journalism. Her work is a true example of how young voices can drive meaningful regional dialogue and foster collaboration on water and climate challenges. #BluePeaceME #JuniorMediaHub #YouthEmpowerment Cewas Middle East

Proud to have participated in the Arab Youth Forum on Climate Change in Oman (Salalah) as a member of the Blue Peace Middle East Junior Media Hub, supported by Cewas Middle East. The forum provided a valuable space for exchanging ideas on the role of youth and media in climate and water action. It was a great opportunity to engage with experts and inspiring young leaders from across the region. During my participation, I met many incredible people and drew meaningful inspiration for my upcoming PhD research, as well as an initial concept for a water-focused initiative I aspire to implement in Syria — particularly related to the Euphrates River. What made this experience truly special was that several participants expressed their willingness to provide technical support to help ensure the success of this initiative — reflecting the spirit of regional cooperation that Blue Peace Middle East continues to promote. Grateful to everyone who made this experience possible, and excited to keep working towards a more sustainable and equitable water future in our region. #BluePeace #BluePeaceME #Cewas #ArabYouthForumOnClimateChange #YouthForWater #ClimateAction #WaterDiplomacy #Mudad #Sustainability #YouthEmpowerment #MiddleEast #WaterForPeace Blue Peace Middle East Cewas Middle East Madad for Development Oman
