Testing electrolyzers and fuel cells involves a broad range of technical risks: electrical, thermal, mechanical, and chemical hazards, as well as potentially explosive environments. The realization of a carbon-neutral society is closely linked to the production of alternative fuels such as ammonia and hydrogen, as well as their production costs. To address the energy-intensive nature of the Haber-Bosch process, research and development of catalysts is accelerating for more efficient ammonia synthesis.
