Music & Arts Library

The Gabe M. Wiener Music & Arts Library's collection includes print monographs and serials on western and non-western music, music scores, sound and video recordings in multiple formats, electronic and multimedia resources, and microforms of scholarly interest. Particular strengths include early printed works on music theory, scholarly score editions, and vocal scores of 18th- and 19th-century operas. Also collected are scores and recordings by over 350 contemporary composers.

Music & Arts Library main study space - a wide area with study carrels, tables, and natural light
  • Use of library spaces is first-come, first-serve. No reservations are available.
  • Drinks in sealed containers are allowed. No food.

Digital Music Lab

  • Play, compose, record, scan, notate, edit, program, and analyze digital audio and music scores. The Digital Music Lab is equipped with Mac workstations, specialized music software and hardware, and Yamaha digital pianos.
  • Note: The Digital Music Lab closes 15 minutes before the library. See library hours.

Photography & Videography Policy

  • Kindly reach out to [email protected] for any photo or video shoot requests, including projects for personal use. (Taking images of printed materials for personal use does require advance permission.)
  • Photo or video shoots may not capture the recognizable likeness of any library user without their consent.
