“I had the pleasure of working with Alana Pradhan, UN Women Liberia’s first dedicated Knowledge Management focal person, whose work has significantly strengthened how the office captures, organizes, and applies knowledge for decision-making. Alana established core KM systems and processes , including the office’s first Knowledge Management Plan, lessons learned and knowledge product framework, and learning dialogues , while enhancing tools such as knowledge repositories and building the capacity of staff and partners to use them effectively. She also introduced strategic foresight into the Strategic Note development process and contributed to key knowledge products, including the Country Gender Equality Profile (CGEP). Most recently, she developed a knowledge gaps assessment tool to identify priority knowledge needs, which will inform future engagement and collaboration with the partners. Alana effectively bridges KM with M&E, translating data and evidence into actionable learning. Her analytical approach, strategic mindset, and collaborative spirit have made her a key contributor to strengthening the office’s evidence-based learning and advocacy. I highly recommend Alana for any position. ”

The 'Anthropology and Geography: Past, Present, and Future' Conference focused on the intersection between people, places, culture, and natural environments. It looked at concepts like the Anthropocene, definitions of ethnology, and more, that bring out the important characteristics of both Anthropology and Geography. It was organised by The Royal Anthropological Institute, The Royal Geographical Society, The British Museum, The British Academy, and the SOAS University of London.

This included the development of a communication bridge between students and staff through the recording of student feedback (emails, surveys, social media, coffee chats), summarising and delivery of feedback to staff in meetings and closure of the feedback loop by updating students with future action points.
Additionally, problem-solving skills were vital to thinking of and communicating constructive solutions to student issues in meetings.
As a student Ambassador, I informed and assisted new and prospective students in university, held talks for prospective students on open days, and answered specific questions related to my degree.
