The 'Anthropology and Geography: Past, Present, and Future' Conference focused on the intersection between people, places, culture, and natural environments. It looked at concepts like the Anthropocene, definitions of ethnology, and more, that bring out the important characteristics of both Anthropology and Geography. I worked with volunteers from all backgrounds to assist in the re-construction of homes after the devastating 2015 earthquake in Nepal.

NGN is a non-governmental and non-profit humanitarian organization based in the United States of America that rebuilds family connections torn apart by child trafficking into children's homes. I hosted awareness events and digitally campaigned to return trafficked children back home.

Just One is an NGO facilitating education programmes for street Children in Nepal. The majority of my role assisted with teaching street children.

As a student representative, I represented the views of fellow students directly to the staff in their Schools and work in partnership with staff to improve the experience of current and future students.
This included the development of a communication bridge between students and staff through the recording of student feedback (emails, surveys, social media, coffee chats), summarising and delivery of feedback to staff in meetings and closure of the feedback loop by updating students with… Show more

Additionally, problem-solving skills were vital to thinking of and communicating constructive solutions to student issues in meetings.
As a student Ambassador, I informed and assisted new and prospective students in university, held talks for prospective students on open days, and answered specific questions related to my degree. Show less
