ArcelorMittal a son siège social au Luxembourg. Au niveau national le groupe dispose de 8 sites à travers le pays, comprenant les centres administratifs à Luxembourg-Ville et à Esch-sur-Alzette, différentes unités de production d’acier pour les produits longs et tréfilés, ainsi que des centres de distribution et de maintenance. ArcelorMittal dispose également d’un centre de R&D situé à Esch-sur-Alzette. ArcelorMittal Luxembourg est un des principaux producteurs de produits longs, tels que les poutrelles et les palplanches en acier, sources d'innovation dans le secteur de la construction moderne. Les poutrelles jumbo et les aciers à haute performance d’ArcelorMittal Differdange jouissent d’une réputation mondiale en matière d’utilisation dans les immeubles de grande hauteur et permettent une réduction de poids (et donc d’émissions de CO2) pouvant atteindre 40 %. La haute qualité et la fiabilité des palplanches en acier d’ArcelorMittal Belval en ont fait la référence sur ce marché. Spécialisé dans la production de rails de différents profils, ArcelorMittal Rodange offre la plus large gamme au monde de rails pour ponts roulants et une sélection de rails pour tramways en aciers ultrarésistants, ainsi que les plus grosses cornières au monde, largement utilisées pour la construction des pylônes électriques pour transporter l’énergie sur de longues distances. Enfin, ArcelorMittal Bissen intervient sur trois segments de marché : les fils pour clôtures et agriculture (fil à vigne), les fils industriels (fils pour gabions, armatures de câbles) et les fibres métalliques de renforcement du béton pour sols, tunnels et préfabriqués.

#EuropeanHealthWeek This week for the European Health Week we organized a panel of activities for our colleagues based in the HQ. 🎀A session on breast cancer prevention with the Europa Donna Luxembourg asbl, a conference on the power of sleep 😴 with our occupational doctor Marc Jacoby, 🚶♂️ a nordic walk at lunch time with #NordicGoen, 🎞️ a film projection on food production and our food habits, their damage to our health and planet with Marie-Beatrice Noble and Sophie Öberg, Ambassador for the European climate Pact and SOS Faim, and finally a workshop to reinvent our work habits with our colleagues Cécile Gresle and Gaëlle Backes 👩💻 . All in all, around 120 colleagues enjoyed this set of activities, learning more on our physical and mental health. 👏 Thank you all for your incredible contribution and let’s continue to make health and safety our #1 priority in the workplace and everywhere!

SteelUp! A new Era Begins at Belval SteelPlant. (13/10/2025) After millions of tons of steel produced over the decades, the electric arc furnace of Belval is about to take its final bow. As the true heart of our steel plant, it has supported generations of passionate men and women, forged thousands of iconic products, and helped make the Belval steel plant in Luxembourg a benchmark in European steelmaking. Today, a new chapter begins: the SteelUp! project enters its execution phase, marking the start of the full replacement of the existing furnace with a state-of-the-art electric arc furnace. This new installation, at the cutting edge of technology, embodies our industrial, energy, and environmental ambition: ⚙️ enhanced performance 🌱 a significantly reduced carbon footprint, ⚡ optimized energy efficiency 💡 and full digitalization of the process. This major transformation goes far beyond a simple equipment upgrade it represents a step change, a new momentum for the future of Luxembourgish steel. — ARCELORMITTAL KIRCHBERG HEADQUARTERS — A symbol of ArcelorMittal’s enduring commitment to the Grand Duchy, the company’s new global headquarters is taking shape in Luxembourg. Rising just behind the Philharmonie Luxembourg / Luxembourg Philharmonic, in the Kirchberg district that houses key European Union institutions (the Court of Justice, the Court of Auditors, and the Secretariat of the Parliament) this bold architectural endeavor places recycled steel solutions at the very heart of its design. Six floors have already been completed, with ten more to follow before the pentagonal structure reaches its final height of 79 meters. The project draws inspiration from the iron ore embedded in the red soils of southern Luxembourg. A load-bearing steel façade will create the illusion of a levitating structure, conveying lightness, elegance, and transparency. As Jean-Michel Wilmotte explains: “The aim of this ambitious project is to create an iconic building, a landmark within the landscape of Luxembourg City. We designed this headquarters to be both elegant, light, and transparent, so that it blends harmoniously into this heterogeneous urban environment. It is also a tribute to steel. Everything is made of steel: the floor, the façade. We really explored the full potential of steel; it was essential for us.”
