Jennifer Kumura (Co-Founder, UXHI)
Jennifer is a people-centered designer on a mission to craft solutions for the well-being of individuals, community, and society. She is a Co-Founder of UXHI, a local volunteer-run User Experience (UX) community, and she is the Product Design Manager at Servco Pacific Inc. in Honolulu, HI.
Her areas of focus are: Digital transformation, mentorship for next generation of futurists, preserving culture and heritage, inclusivity in design and teams, mental health & well-being.
Carolyn Rojsutivat (UX 101 Initiative Lead, UXHI)
Carolyn leads the UX 101 Initiative at UXHI, a local volunteer-run UX community. The goal of this initiative is to educate local companies and organizations about UX and help them thrive in a competitive space, so their products and services can deliver a delightful experience for everyone in Hawaiʻi.
She is a UX and Change Leader on a mission to break barriers, make knowledge more accessible to local communities, and diversify the economy in Hawaiʻi. With over ten years of experience as a UX Engineer and Product Designer, she has created meaningful experiences that improve the quality of people's lives. Her interest lies in leveraging human-centered design with health, social good, education, and conservation. She volunteers her time in the community by sharing knowledge, advocating for a better world, and listening to stories by fellow community members.
Katrina Sison Tan (Client Experiences (CX) Manager, Vice President, Central Pacific Bank)
Katrina Sison Tan is a CX professional, researcher, and educator. Prior to her role at Central Pacific Bank, she was a Lead UX Researcher for JPMorgan Chase on products such as the Chase app and Chase for Business. As a career changer, she worked in a variety of industries including organizations such as the Obama campaign, Bain & Company, and the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Cal State University Fullerton and a Master of Education from the University of Vermont.
Sean Tangco (Founder, Small Kine Research & Action)
Sean Tangco improved how customers interacted with emerging AI and data tools during his time at Microsoft, making new technologies easier and more valuable for people to use. Choosing to bring that expertise home to Hawai'i, he founded Small Kine Research & Action to strengthen businesses and communities on island. Partnering with the Hub Coworking Hawai‘i team, Sean focuses on small, practical actions that are gradually transforming the experience of everyone who enters the space, both physically and digitally.
Meeta Vu (Co-Founder, Hub Coworking Hawaiʻi)
As co-owner of Hub Coworking Hawai‘i, Meeta Vu is addressing one of Hawai‘i’s biggest challenges: people with great ideas often lack the space, networks, and support to bring them to life. She sees the Hub as a catalyst for changing that — creating an environment where entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and creatives can grow their work into something sustainable. Her vision is to design spaces that cultivate stronger businesses, meaningful jobs, and a resilient local economy that benefits everyone.
