Last week was truly a Montenegro Week for me 🇲🇪 — both professionally and personally. As someone carrying the proud surname Dapčević of Montenegro, it was inspiring to return to my grandfather's roots and contribute to the country’s innovation and education journey to its membership in the European Union. I had the privilege to participate in Smart Growth, Green Future: Accelerating Investment in Montenegro conference, hosted by President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister Milojko Mickey Spajic, where I shared my views on the enormous potential of Montenegrin talent, education, and innovation — and the vision of building a strong startup and incubation ecosystem in the country. Later in the week, I joined the Conference on Human Capital Development, organised by the Privredna komora Crne Gore / Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, where I shared my thoughts on how dual higher education can shape a new generation of highly skilled professionals and boost entrepreneurship. Together with the University of Montenegro, Privredna komora Crne Gore / Chamber of Economy of Montenegro, the Ministry of Education and the business sector, we are proud partners in the EU capacity building DUALMON Erasmus project, which strengthens cooperation between education and industry and has received the highest grade for its implementation by the European Commission. To complete this unforgettable week, we were honoured to host the Days of Montenegro in Slovenia at the Academia Institute of Technology, organised by Črnogorsko kulturno društvo “Komovi” Maribor, celebrating our cultural and educational ties. A heartfelt thank you to all bilateral meetings, business leaders, government representatives, ministers, directors, and state secretaries who shared their insights, support, and vision. Montenegro’s momentum is growing — and we're proud to be walking the talk. ❤️🇲🇪 #Montenegro #Innovation #Education #Startups #DualEducation #InvestInMontenegro #AcademiaMaribor Montenegrin Investment Agency

I’m proud to share that, in recognition of our positive experience in Montenegro to date, Alcazar Energy Partners have signed a new Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Montenegro. This agreement reflects our confidence in Montenegro’s investment climate and our commitment to its renewable energy future - with plans to more than double our total foreign direct investment, increasing from €200 million (for the 119 MW Bijela Wind Farm) to €500 million by 2030. With its skilled talent, abundant natural resources, and strategic location, Montenegro stands out as a natural partner for renewable energy investment. The MoU was signed during the EU-Montenegro International Investment Conference, “Smart Growth, Green Future: Accelerating Investment in #Montenegro,” held last week in Luštica. A heartfelt thank you to Prime Minister Milojko Mickey Spajic, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, and Energy Minister Admir Sahmanovic for their terrific leadership in the field of renewable energy and their support during the signing of this important agreement. My sincere appreciation also goes to the European Commission, the Government of Montenegro, and the Montenegrin Investment Agency for their excellent organisation of this inspiring conference. We look forward to working closely with our Montenegrin partners to accelerate the #energytransition in the Western Balkans and build a more sustainable future for the region. #RenewableEnergy #FDI

🌍 wind fisher takes off in Montenegro Last week, wind fisher was invited to the "Smart Growth, Green Future – Accelerating Investments in Montenegro" summit in Luštica, Montenegro. Held by Prime Minister Milojko Mickey Spajic and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the event brought together leaders, innovators, and decision-makers to accelerate growth and green transition in the region. 🤝 We are proud to announce that wind fisher signed a MoU for projects development with Elektroprivreda Crne Gore AD Nikšić, Montenegro’s national energy company. As highlighted by President von der Leyen, wind fisher is officially part of the “14 outstanding projects that have been launched [...] including high-altitude wind power”. We have already identified a high-potential pilot site to deploy our first airborne wind system in 2026. This project aims to produce clean energy for the largest vineyard in the Balkans. As part of its entry into the EU, Montenegro positions itself as a development hub for renewable energy technologies in the Adriatic region. With strong government support and joint efforts with the EU, the country will pioneer next-gen solutions, including Airborne Wind energy . This is a powerful signal for wind fisher, and there is no doubt that we will deploy high-altitude wind farms in the region in the next few years. Huge thanks to the Government of Montenegro and the European Commission for this inspiring summit. We are looking forward to our collaboration.🌿 🎥 Watch Ursula von der Leyen’s full speech here: https://lnkd.in/ea85egv4 👉 European External Action Service official press release available here: https://lnkd.in/eCReRjh4 👉 Follow us to stay in touch, and visit our website to learn more about wind fisher: https://wind-fisher.com/ Airborne Wind Europe | Montenegrin Investment Agency | Branislava Jovicic | Balkan Green Energy News | Stephane Vidaillet #AirborneWindEnergy #Renewables #ClimateTech #EU #Montenegro #GreenTransition #Growth
