How many scientists does it take to change a lightbulb? I don’t know. But to shine a light on ESG blind spots — it takes two — Dr Laurynas Pukenas and I. ✨ When we entered the Leet Academy Pre-Accelerator Alpha Startup Programme, we had a strong foundation: years of climate and tech expertise, months of user research, and a clear vision of the product we needed to build. What we didn’t have was a business framework. We knew the science and the code but not yet the business model, the competitive positioning, or the go-to-market strategy that would make it work in the real world. That’s where the programme transformed us. ✨ Every week, the structured exercises turned assumptions into strategy. ✨ Mentoring sessions with our mentor, Bikesh Lakhmichand challenged our “wishful thinking” and pushed us to defend every decision with data and logic. ✨ We discovered our edge: turning real, traceable data into insights accessible even to non-experts. ✨ A real lightbulb moment was using frameworks like the “Flies, Mice, Rabbit, Deer, Elephant” model, which didn’t just justify our target customer, it revealed what’s missing in today’s ESG business models. Then came the 3- and 5-minute pitches. What seemed like presentations became the ultimate clarity test. Condensing everything into a few minutes forced us to distill our core: why we exist, who we serve, and how we’re different. Making it to the final 9 was an honour but the real win was transformation. We came in with a concept. We’re walking out with a defined business strategy, a clear go-to-market plan and strategy to take ESGee to the next stage: scaling pilots and partnerships to make sustainability accessible for everyone, everywhere. No matter the results, this journey has already changed how we build — with science, structure, and clarity. Massive thank you to the 1337 Ventures team, family, and friends who kept us powered up through weeks of polishing, pitching and powering through. Couldn’t have lit up that stage without you! 💡 To my 8 fellow startups, your quiet encouragement during the dry run calmed our shared jitters. 🚀 Last week was an exciting milestone for us at Fluxion! We had the opportunity to demo our product at Leet Launchpad Vol. 3, powered by Microsoft and 1337 Ventures, right here in Kuala Lumpur. The room was filled with sharp investors, founders, and operators across ASEAN and the response was overwhelmingly positive 🙌. The highlight? Curiosity around how Fluxion enables personalised landing pages that adapt, persuade, and sell on their own. We also had thoughtful discussions on the future of adaptive commerce and one thing is clear: 👉 Personalisation at the landing page isn’t a nice-to-have anymore, it’s inevitable.
