On 21–22 October, BIOFIN - UNDP Biodiversity Finance Initiative joined the FSP Design Lab, an intensive, hands-on workshop funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (GIZ Namibia) through ProBATS II, in partnership with CEFE International and the NIFA Academy. The workshop brought together Namibia’s financial service providers to co-create ESG-aligned financial products for youth-led, informal, and biodiversity-linked enterprises, reimagining inclusive finance for a sustainable future. The #BIOFIN project lead, Ms. Bernadette Shalumbu-Shivute, shared insights on UNDP’s mandate, the Biodiversity Finance work in Namibia, and opportunities for local collaboration in designing financial solutions that respond to emerging #MSME needs. #UNDPinNamibia #BiodiversityFinance #InclusiveFinance #SustainableDevelopment Bernadette Shalumbu-Shivute Frida Frans Hendrina Shikalepo BIOFIN - UNDP Biodiversity Finance Initiative Bruno Mweemba Amanda K. Across 14 regions, MSMEs shared powerful insights: · Youth-led businesses want opportunity, not charity. · Informal doesn’t mean not bankable. · Green enterprises require tailored products. The FSP Design Lab is where we turn these insights into co-created solutions. We’re building inclusive finance — together. FSPs only. Limited seats. This programme is funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH (GIZ Namibia) through the ProBATS II project, in partnership with CEFE International and the Namibia Investment and Finance Academy (NIFA Academy. Today, on World Mental Health Day, I wanted to share something different. A quiet reflection on what it truly means to lead in a world where people experience reality differently. In the past few years, I’ve experienced how brilliant colleagues withdraw silently under pressure, others mask exhaustion behind performance, and many who care deeply yet feel unseen in systems that move too fast to notice. That’s why I created this post as an invitation. To pause. To listen. To remember that psychological safety isn’t built on perfection. It’s built on permission. Amy Edmondson calls this “the right kind of wrong”… the space where it’s safe to make intelligent mistakes, to learn aloud, and to keep growing together. Leadership, in the end, is not about eliminating error. It’s about creating cultures where it’s safe to be human. Where reflection, doubt, and empathy are signs of strength, not failure. Do take a moment to swipe through the short visual story I’ve shared below. It’s a reminder that sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do for our teams and colleagues is to slow down, and make room for the right kind of wrong. #WorldMentalHealthDay #Leadership #PsychologicalSafety #AmyEdmondson #TheRightKindOfWrong #WellbeingAtWork #Governance #HumanCenteredLeadership #UNDP
