The energy was incredible as our OES teams in Lagos and Port Harcourt came together to celebrate Nigeria’s 65th Independence Day under the powerful theme: "Rising With Hope: Building A Better Nigeria." It was a day brimming with national pride, cultural unity, and great food! Our offices had pure vibes: Cultural Showcase: Everyone stepped out in their finest traditional attire, turning our workspaces into a stunning tapestry of Nigeria's diverse cultures. Owambe Special: No celebration is complete without a proper feast! We indulged in a mouth-watering culinary journey, from rich Jollof to our favourite Soups and Swallows, a true taste of home! Words of Wisdom: We shared a few laughs and some deep thoughts through classic Nigerian proverbs, reminding us of the resilience and spirit that hold us together. The highlight of the day was an insightful and spirited debate on the motion: "Corruption is more a problem of leadership than the people." Huge shoutout to our colleagues for their sharp thinking and passionate conversation on how we can all contribute to nation-building. We also had a guest speech from Olubukola Femi-Ajala, the Country Executive Director of the Institute for National Transformation (INT), who gave us a thought-provoking lecture on our theme: "Rising with Hope: Building A Better Nigeria." We concluded with competitive games, showcasing our team spirit! Congrats to all the well-deserved winners who snagged some fantastic prizes! Thank you to our Vice Chairman, Dele Badejo, for joining us! Your presence made the day even more special and solidified our shared vision for a brighter future. Position: Rig Engineer Trainee Industry: Oil & Gas Salary: Very Competitive Location: Port-Harcourt The Rig Engineer Trainee is an entry-level position designed to provide hands-on experience in drilling operations, rig maintenance, and operational safety. The trainee will work under the supervision of experienced engineers and supervisors to gain practical knowledge of rig operations, well control, and drilling techniques. This role serves as a foundation for future career growth in drilling operations.   RESPONSIBILITIES • Participate in structured training programs covering drilling operations, safety protocols, and rig equipment. • Assist senior engineers in monitoring and optimizing drilling processes. • Learn about well control, pressure control systems, and drilling fluids management. • Observe and assist in rig move preparations, equipment installation, and maintenance activities. • Support the execution of drilling programs in compliance with industry standards and company policies. • Help monitor drilling parameters and report deviations to supervisors. • Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations while working on the rig. • Participate in safety drills, risk assessments, and hazard identification processes. • Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. • Learn about rig equipment, including hoisting systems, mud pumps, and blowout preventers (BOPs). • Assist in troubleshooting operational issues on the rig. • Support routine inspections and preventive maintenance activities. • Maintain accurate records of drilling activities, equipment status, and safety observations. • Prepare daily reports and assist in technical documentation for drilling operations. • Communicate effectively with rig personnel.   QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in petroleum, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.    • Recent graduates or candidates with relevant internships are encouraged to apply.   KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES & SKILLS REQUIRED • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Ability to work in physically demanding environments, including remote locations. • Good teamwork and communication skills. • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).   Kindly email your resume to [email protected] with the job position as the email subject line. Position: Procurement Analyst Industry: Oil & Gas Salary: Very Competitive Location: Port-Harcourt The Procurement Analyst supports transaction planning and processing efforts to ensure all procurement activities are delivered in the most cost-effective manner without compromising on quality standards, while meeting customer expectations for efficient and effective service delivery. RESPONSIBILITIES • Executes procurement plans to support business and operational needs based on requirements stated in the business plans and budgets of individual entities and departments. • Makes useful recommendations for cost savings for more efficient and effective procurement and service delivery.  • Ensures the needs of requestors are proactively identified and met; takes appropriate actions by handling request orders, supporting tendering/bid management processes, contract negotiation, price management, service delivery, vendor management and communication efforts with suppliers. • Supports procurement contract negotiation efforts as may be required from time to time; with supervision, negotiates favourable basic vendor agreements. • Interprets contract provisions in processing procurement transactions. • Management of request for quote (RFQ) or call for tender (CFT) process to obtain appropriate proposals/quotes from vendors. • Prepares commercial evaluation, makes recommendation for bid selection, liaises with customers and prepares recommendation report • Organizes technical evaluation of bids and ensures Purchase Orders comply with appropriate specifications, conditions and clauses; issues Purchase Orders for approval in line with process guidelines and specified approval limits. • Create integrated processes among Operations, Procurement, Logistics and outside suppliers to execute the planning/replenishment process • Actively expedites purchases to assure delivery. • Submits weekly expediting report and all other supply chain reports that may be assigned • Familiar with the development, use, and implementation of planning and forecasting systems • Carries out vendors’ performance appraisal with support • Maintains adequate vendor documentation and/or specification on sources of supply, costs, delivery, vendor performance ratings, and quality requirements QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE • Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Project Management or a related field. • 2+ years of experience in procurement within a reputable and structured organization preferably in the Oil and Gas industry Kindly email your resume to [email protected] with the job position as the email subject line.
