The 2nd International PIC Hackathon has officially concluded, marking the end of an inspiring and impactful programme that brought together students, academia, and industry from around the world to explore the future of Integrated Photonics.
The week featured expert lectures, company visits, lab tours, and challenging student projects, all culminating in the final presentations, where participants shared their innovative solutions to challenges set by Nostics and Dexerials Corporation. The winning teams were recognised during a special ceremony at Expo 2025 Osaka, with awards presented by Sawaragi, Executive Vice-President of Kyoto University, and Feite Hofman, Vice Minister of Education, Culture and Science of the Netherlands.
