Ahold Delhaize USA recently announced its new propriety retail media platform, Edge, that’s custom built for grocery retail and is due to launch January 2026. Powered by retail media arm AD Retail Media USA and developed by in-house tech teams and based on proven technology used by several of Ahold Delhaize’s European brands, Edge brings together sponsored search, onsite display and in-store digital screens. Today, Ahold Delhaize announced that it has reached an agreement for the divestment of its 87 Romanian stores operated by Profi and Mega Image with local Romanian supermarket company Annabella. This move is part of Ahold Delhaize’s post-closing commitments following the acquisition of Profi earlier this year.
