"This is not a magic trick..." 🪄 The deep sea is home to creatures so unique, they exist nowhere else on Earth. Humans have only explored 0.001% of this vast, mysterious world. Imagine what secrets still lie hidden. 🌊✨ But the deep-sea mining industry wants to tear it apart for profit. If we don’t act now, we risk losing not just weird and wonderful creatures ... but entire worlds we’ll never get the chance to know... 🖊️ Add your name to our petition and help stop deep-sea mining before it starts. 🌍 Why food belongs in the Amazon conversation 👇 Chef Leo Moran (MasterChef Colombia 2016) joined our team in the Amazon to expose how industrial agribusiness fuels deforestation, toxic air, and land grabbing, while Indigenous Peoples and local communities safeguard real solutions. According to a recent Greenpeace Brasil investigation, cattle illegally raised inside the Pequizal do Naruvôtu Indigenous Land were linked to the supply chain of JBS, the world’s largest meat company. Our work with Leo Morán connects food and forest: revealing how the meals on our plates can hide a toxic supply chain, while showing that Indigenous Peoples and local communities who defend the Amazon already have the solutions for the climate and biodiversity crisis, with good quality, healthy, and sustainable food that doesn’t come at the cost of our planet. 📢 Ahead of COP30 (Belém), leaders must: ✅Act on their promises to halt deforestation at COP30. ✅Regulate and stop funding Amazon destroyers. ✅Fund Indigenous People and Local Communities' solutions to protect and restore the Amazon. Whose side are you on, Amazon destroyers or Amazon defenders? ✉️ Send a message to world leaders - https://lnkd.in/e_Tmetxh ✍️ Sign the petition - act.gp/RespectTheAmazon #RespectTheAmazon #StopBigAg

Working for Greenpeace doesn’t mean you're stuck at doing one or two things. There’s a diversity of projects and freedom to explore and innovate. That’s the reality for Caroline Wagner, Programme Support Manager for the Greenpeace European Collaboration, at least. Within her 6 years in the Greenpeace network, she’s had different job titles and was able to join “off the record” initiatives as well, like Greenpeace’s Youth Network. Created by Caroline, the Mindful Moments have over 500 participants and a few volunteer employees who share 15 min spaces for breathing exercises, to slow down and reconnect. 💚

Good news from Australia and around the globe! 🌍 🐋 💚 https://lnkd.in/eD6XEc6X
Whale, whale, whale!!! 🐋 #ICYMI This year, Australia's east coast humpback whale migratory procession is larger than it has been since before whaling began, and perhaps even in history, with data suggesting that whale numbers have met or even exceeded the pre-industrial whaling population estimate. Meanwhile, according to research, the world’s wind and solar farms have generated more electricity than coal plants for the first time this year, marking a turning point for the global power system. Plus, the Minns government has confirmed its long-awaited great koala national park, announcing it will add 176,000 hectares of forest to existing reserves in mid-north New South Wales to create one of the largest national parks in the state and protect more than 12,000 koalas.

Peace is more than an absence of war! Welcoming today’s ceasefire in Gaza, Greenpeace calls for humanitarian organisations to be given unrestricted access to deliver aid in the face of famine and genocide. Peace is more than the absence of war. The sound of bullets and bombs must now give way to the sound of aid convoys delivering aid to address the acute and chronic suffering across the Gaza Strip. Real peace comes with freedom of choice, freedom from fear, freedom from famine, freedom from environmental contamination and freedom to dream. At this critical juncture we renew our call on the international community to end its culpability and inaction. All necessary international pressure must be brought to bear to ensure that this fragile first step leads to a lasting peace. Until then Greenpeace demands: ▪️ An unconditional and permanent ceasefire. ▪️ The release by Hamas of all hostages. ▪️ The release by Israel of all illegally detained Palestinians. ▪️ The imposition of targeted sanctions and a comprehensive arms embargo, enforced by the international community. ▪️ The unhindered delivery of aid by the UN and other humanitarian organisations. ▪️ An end to the illegal occupation of Palestine. Greenpeace supports a future in which Israel and Palestine live side by side in peace, within recognised borders, consistent with international law and relevant UN resolutions.
