Rising energy costs, growing AI-driven infrastructure demands, and increasing pressure from customers and partners are pushing businesses to rethink the environmental impact of their hosting choices. What was once a “nice to have” is rapidly becoming part of risk management, cost control, and brand credibility. The article highlights how 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗯 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 - through energy-efficient infrastructure, smarter resource management, renewable energy, and advanced cooling technologies - is gaining traction as SMEs balance performance, reliability, and sustainability. Hosted.com notes that businesses aren’t demanding perfection, but clear progress and transparency from hosting providers. As environmental reporting standards expand and power-hungry data centers come under closer scrutiny, hosting infrastructure is emerging as a key piece of broader sustainability strategies. Looking ahead to 2026, providers with a lower carbon footprint may gain a competitive edge as 𝗦𝗠𝗘𝘀 evaluate hosting partners beyond just price and uptime. #GreenHosting #Sustainability #WebHosting #SMEs #DataCenters #CloudInfrastructure #HostingTrends Hosted.com Wayne Diamond Danielle Hattingh 🔗 Read the full article on HostingJournalist: https://lnkd.in/efQMWinb

Serverfarm has secured a $3.0 billion credit facility to accelerate the development of hyperscale, AI-ready data center campuses across North America, underscoring the growing financial and operational momentum behind next-generation digital infrastructure. The facility, which closed in December 2025, is backed by a syndicate of 23 institutional lenders and is designed to support rapid construction timelines for large-scale deployments demanded by cloud providers and artificial intelligence innovators. The financing provides Serverfarm with the capital flexibility to advance multiple high-capacity projects simultaneously, at a time when enterprise and hyperscale customers are competing for scarce power, land, and delivery speed. The largest allocation will support a Houston hyperscale campus with more than 500 megawatts of development potential spread across 250 acres in the city’s energy corridor, featuring dual on-site substations to support power-hungry AI workloads. In Georgia, Serverfarm is expanding its presence with a nearly 500,000-square-foot facility in Covington that will deliver 60 megawatts of critical IT capacity for a single hyperscale tenant. In Canada, a four-megawatt expansion at its existing Toronto site is aimed at supporting continued hyperscale growth in the Canadian market. Fueling Aggressive #AI Campus Expansion The transaction was arranged with TD Securities acting as administrative agent and joint lead arranger, reflecting continued lender confidence in large-scale data center platforms despite broader capital market volatility. Serverfarm’s leadership points to its standardized basis-of-design approach as a differentiator, enabling faster delivery of high-density infrastructure optimized for GPU-intensive workloads. Chief Executive Officer Avner Papouchado said the facility strengthens the company’s ability to deliver infrastructure at a pace aligned with customer demand, where speed to market has become a decisive competitive factor. Investor support also remains strong from Manulife Investment Management, which backs Serverfarm on behalf of its institutional clients and views digital infrastructure as a long-term growth asset class. Serverfarm operates data centers across key global markets including Houston, Atlanta, Chicago, Los Angeles, Northern Virginia, Toronto, Amsterdam, London, Tel Aviv, and Moses Lake, positioning the platform to support multinational cloud and enterprise customers as AI adoption accelerates.
