With the mechanical rodeo pitch right opposite our booth one of our visitors phrased it very succinctly: If you know the bull’s motions beforehand, you can be a better cowboy! At Port St. Joe in Florida, our commissioning engineer Sander de Haan worked side by side with the HORNBECK OFFSHORE® team to equip their CSOV Rocinante with Next Ocean's Vessel Motion Radar. From now on, the vessel is ready for the rough days at sea and the crew can anticipate vessel motion up to three minutes in advance. That means lower risk through better timing when transferring engineers and equipment to rigs, wind farms, and offshore installations.
