Royal3D is extremely proud to share that we will be making our debut at this year's edition of Metstrade! It is a huge leap forward for us to be part of such an important event and bring Royal3D's 3D printing knowledge and skills to the maritime community. During the event, we will be showcasing the aquatic drone, a 3D printed USV platform. The drone combines maritime innovation, AI technology, 3D printing knowledge, and advanced electronics to ensure both human and wildlife safety. This multipurpose platform has integrated Royal3D’s design, engineering, and 3D printing knowledge and is perfect for companies developing their own autonomous systems. The USV platform can be utilized for multiple applications for the maritime and yachting community including yacht and passenger safety. We had the pleasure of developing the concept, designing, and 3D printing this year’s DAME Design Awards trophy and symbolizes the maritime elegance and the free spirit when sailing. The trophy is made from recycled thermoplastic sourced from recollected materials, combined with repurposed wood from interior refit projects. But it doesn’t end there! This year is particularly important for us as we also designed and printed the trophy for the Boat Builders Awards 2025 by International Boat Industry, Metstrade, and RAI Amsterdam. The inspiration for it came from the works of Carlos Scarpa, an Italian architect, and gives a visual presentation of how individual block are forming one whole, a vessel. The material used was recycled PET-G for the trophy and SLA resin material for the stand. You can find us in Hall 13 at the Next Gen Zone at booth 13.107A from 18 to 20 November in RAI Amsterdam. Come and meet the Royal3D team. We’re proud to see our work highlighted by VoxelMatters, showcasing how Royal3D’s LFAM technology is helping shape the future of sustainable engineering. In collaboration with Carbyon and De Productenmakers, our team 3D printed the air inlet component for Carbyon’s GO direct air capture machine. Using recycled PET-G reinforced with glass fiber, we demonstrated how LFAM enables complex, high-performance parts to be produced efficiently, with reduced material waste and shorter lead times. This project reflects the power of collaboration and circular design in advancing real-world climate solutions. This project perfectly embodies what drives us at Royal3D when combining circular materials, advanced digital design, and cutting-edge production methods to bring innovative concepts to life faster, with less waste and greater flexibility. We’re excited to continue supporting forward-thinking partners like Carbyon as they work toward scalable carbon removal technologies proving that collaboration and innovation can make a real impact in the fight against climate change. A big thank you to VoxelMatters for featuring this story and shedding light on how large-format 3D printing is driving innovation in climate technology and sustainable manufacturing. Yes!
