This means transforming every point of interaction with the customer, both physical and digital, into a measurable, value-generating asset. Here's a glimpse into the main sessions and the insights they unlocked: ▪️ How AI Could Change Retail Media: Nate Pinkston, from Microsoft, highlighted how AI can serve as a strategic imperative for business. By acting as a translation layer for unstructured legacy systems, AI enables companies to directly drive operational efficiency and personalisation for shoppers. This allows businesses to integrate AI and connect disparate data sets without a complete overhaul of their infrastructure. The session also underscored that AI's ability to boost creative efficiency and deliver higher conversion rates makes it an essential tool for future growth. ▪️ The Retail Journey Mapping Lab: Philippe Brochard, Senior Advisor and Eason Tong, from Hanshow highlighted how effective in-store marketing depends on strong physical infrastructure i.e. digital screens and electronic shop labels supporting each stage of the customer journey. ▪️ AI or Human? The Game of Standardisation: Ruediger Hagedorn, from CGF dived into the core question of standardisation. The discussion centered on whether a collaborative, standardised approach is more beneficial than a highly competitive one.
