The JMIC Unity Award was established as a way of recognizing individuals who have made significant contributions to the advancement of the Meetings Industry and the level of professionalism it represents.
The selection of the Unity Award recipient is made by Council members on the basis of selection criteria that address such areas as industry leadership initiatives, industry presentations and articles and roles in major industry organizations.

Named in honor of former IMEX Managing Director, Paul Flackett, the Awards reward those making outstanding contributions to the global events industry

Selected by the editors to receive the 'Global Impact Award’ for ‘Timeless Leadership Impact’.

The "UFI Medal of Honour" is the association's highest recognition. It is awarded by the UFI President on behalf of the global UFI membership to acknowledge outstanding services to the advancement of the exhibition industry globally.

The organiser states: "The index recognizes outstanding professionals who have left a mark on the events industry in the region with their creativity, vision, and capacity for innovation. This index is decided entirely by public vote, where the events community first gets to nominate and then vote for those they believe have had the most notable impact on the world of events and experience marketing."

The Business Event Strategist of the Year award honors a leader who exemplifies professional excellence in their contributions to their organization, PCMA and the business events community.

"Congratulations to the leaders and colleagues behind the Net Zero Carbon Events Pledge launched during the 2021 UN Climate Change Conference (COP26) at the SEC, in Glasgow, Scotland! This important and collaborative initiative received the PCMA Chair Award during Convening Leaders 2022 in recognition of unique achievements and contributions to the business events industry.
