This week, to celebrate 125 years of OCS, teams from around the world are taking on the OCS 125 Challenge. From 15-21 September, more than 150 teams are walking, running, cycling (and everything in between!) to complete 125 virtual miles (201km) to raise funds for local charities making a real difference. In New Zealand, 4 teams including one from 1M, are stepping up to support The Salvation Army New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga & Samoa in New Zealand. Since 1883, they’ve helped over 120,000 families and individuals each year through budgeting advice, food and clothing assistance, life skills programmes, and more. Their impact continues to be felt across the country, especially during times of need. As we approach the Christmas season, every donation counts. Let’s make every mile matter for causes that truly change lives. 👉 Donate to support The Salvation Army in New Zealand: https://lnkd.in/gpGCzR34 #WeAre1M #OCS125Challenge #TRUEvalues #SupportSalvationArmy #MakeAnImpact #CommunitySupport #FundraisingChallenge

At Smales Farm in Takapuna, our 1M team partnered with Rucon Limited and Smales Farm to refurbish the AIA Building – while medical, childcare, gym, and retail facilities stayed open 24/7. Using our self-delivery model, we kept quality and speed under control, completing complex HVAC upgrades with no disruption. 💬 “Having in-house teams instead of relying on subcontractors made the project far more efficient. It ensured consistency in quality and allowed for better responsiveness to project demands.” – Scott Sefton, Rucon Construction & Property 🔶 $800K saved for the customer 🔶 Seamless retrofit into ageing infrastructure 🔶 Zero major safety incidents The same approach applies wherever continuity matters – from hospitals to schools to government facilities and other complex facilities. 🔗 Read the full case study here: https://lnkd.in/gtz9UtWK #HVAC #EssentialMaintenance #Collaboration #CaseStudy #CustomerSatisfaction

At 1M, sustainability isn’t a buzzword – it’s a service standard. As part of the OCS Group, we’re helping customers meet their ESG goals while keeping essential systems operating safely and reliably. In the latest INCLEAN Magazine feature, OCS Australia & New Zealand Managing Director Gareth W Marriott explains: 💬 “There’s no point setting goals and then putting them in a drawer. You need to report on them, be honest about your progress, and stay focused on doing better.” 🔗 Read the article: https://lnkd.in/gQ-A3TqY #1M #TRUEValues #HVAC #WeAreOCS #ESG

We're delighted to welcome Jared Miller, Partinder Bath and Ruben van Biljon to the 1M team. These three new apprentices are beginning their electrical apprenticeships with us - supported by our trusted partners at Skills Group and ETCO. Richard Harman from Skills Group joined us on-site to assist with their enrolment, marking the first step in what will be a hands-on, future-focused apprenticeship experience. Thanks to 1M's Byron Keppler and Izak Scheepers, who will be mentoring these new apprenticeships on their learning journey. We're proud to be teaching, growing, and powering up the next generation of skilled professionals. #WeAre1M #ApprenticeshipJourney #ElectricalApprenticeship #FutureReady #OnTheTools #WorkforceDevelopment

At 1M, we support Pink Shirt Day 👚 because we believe everyone deserves to feel safe, respected, and part of a team where they belong. We also know it takes more than wearing pink. It takes trust to be yourself, respect for the people around you, unity to stand together, and empowerment to speak up when something isn’t right. From our sites to our office, we’re committed to building a workplace culture that reflects these values – not just today, but every day. #PinkShirtDay #TRUEValues #Respect #Inclusion #Kindness #Empowerment #ESGInAction

Today is World FM Day (Wednesday, 14 May), and this year’s theme – Resilience in Action: Thriving in a World of Change – reflects the work our team our delivers every day. At 1M, resilience shows up in practical ways: managing projects efficiently, designing practical systems, delivering quality construction and installation, and committing to ongoing maintenance. It’s about making sure our customers’ HVAC systems continue to perform long after installation – keeping air fresh, healthy and flowing where it matters most. Thanks to our team for the expertise and effort you bring to every job. #WorldFMDay #ResilienceInAction #HVAC #weare1M

At 1M and OCS Australia & New Zealand, we’ve chosen to support The Salvation Army New Zealand, Fiji, Tonga & Samoa for over 10 years. Their work reaches every part of the communities we serve across Aotearoa New Zealand. Through year-round volunteering and support – including initiatives like the Red Shield Appeal and Christmas donation drives – we aim to live out our commitment to creating meaningful change. This winter, our team are once again collecting donations to support the Red Shield Appeal. It’s one of many ways our colleagues bring our TRUE Values to life. Thank you to everyone taking part. #TRUEValues #RedShieldAppeal #TheSalvationArmy #CommunitySupport #WeAre1M #PartneringForImpact

New Zealand Sign Language Week is a timely reminder of the many ways people communicate – and the importance of being open to all of them. At 1M, inclusion is more than a value – it’s built into how we work, on-site and off. As part of OCS Australia & New Zealand, we support efforts to raise awareness and appreciation of NZSL, one of Aotearoa’s three official languages. This week, we’re taking time to reflect on how Respect and Unity show up in everyday moments – and how listening doesn’t always require words.
