40 million steps. 4 countries. 1 global team. 🌍👟 This year’s EROAD Walkathon took us on a virtual journey Around Africa - and what a journey it was. Over six weeks, 105 EROADers walked a combined 40,375,095 steps, averaging 9,155 steps per person per day. That’s 89% of the African continent’s perimeter covered - our biggest distance yet across all six Walkathons. Powered by the Big Team Challenge app, this virtual event connected our people across time zones and locations, with a live leaderboard keeping the energy high and the competition friendly. But it wasn’t just about the numbers. The Walkathon is a celebration of wellbeing, connection, and movement. From rice fields to beaches to bushwalks, our team shared stunning photos and stories that reminded us how walking brings us together - no matter where we are. The event may be over, but the momentum continues. At EROAD, mental wellbeing isn't just a day on the calendar, it's part of how we work together, every day. Today, on World Mental Health Day, we're pausing to reflect on how we support our people to thrive in a fast-paced, always-connected world. This month, our focus has been on building sustainable success - maintaining healthy workloads, creating clear work-life boundaries, and recognising when healthy stress becomes unhealthy. We've also explored how to say "no" gracefully and honestly - an essential skill in a world that often celebrates "yes." A huge thank you to Kristen Lunman, Co-founder of Powrsuit, and Dr Kate Bone, EROAD's Health, Safety and Wellbeing Leader, for collaborating with our Women In Motion network and bringing practical insights and tools to our teams - like how to "say yes to say no." And to our EROADers who shared their personal stories with openness and courage, your voices make these conversations real. As one of our people put it: "It makes me feel valued that our workplace takes the time resources to invest in providing these services for us. It makes me feel like less of a robot - like I'm seen." Understanding Driver Hours: Why Digital Logbooks Matter 📘 Driver fatigue is one of the most preventable risks in road transport - and managing it starts with visibility. In New Zealand, commercial drivers are required to maintain logbooks to track hours and breaks. But paper-based systems can be slow, error-prone, and hard to manage across a fleet. That’s where digital logbooks come in.
