SASMUAN, PAMPANGA, NAGPAPATUPAD NA NG PALENG-QR PH PLUS. Bahagi na ang Sasmuan, Pampanga sa mga lokal na pamahalaan sa bansa na nagpapatupad ng Paleng-QR Ph Plus. Isinusulong ng programa ang pagbabayad ng QR Ph sa mga palengke, lokal na transportasyon, at iba pang negosyo. Ang Paleng-QR Ph Plus ay pinagsamang inisyatiba ng Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) at Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) para mas palawakin ang paggamit ng digital payment sa bansa. Isa rin ito sa mga prayoridad na programa sa ilalim ng National Strategy for Financial Inclusion 2022-2028. Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Governor Eli M. Remolona, Jr. discusses how the BSP has made it easier for banks to refuse suspicious withdrawals and help curb money laundering. Circular 1218-2025 institutes additional requirements for cash withdrawals above P500,000. These are easy for legitimate purposes, but may be harder for criminal purposes. Account holders can also withdraw more than P500,000 by check or digital means, which are traceable by authorities, unlike cash.
