Hizon engaged in an insightful discussion for “Conversations with C-Suites,” as part of the 4th SGV Tax Symposium.   Innovation & Technology Enablement Leader and Consulting Principal Armand N. Cajayon also presented on “The Role of Blockchain in Promoting Trust and Transparency in the National Budget Making Process,” and was joined by Transfer Pricing Leader and Tax Partner Atty. Reynante M. Marcelo for a Q&A after.

The 4th SGV Tax Symposium is exploring the topic “Driving Investments Through Tax Reforms and Digital Transformation” with guest speaker Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) Director General Hon. Tereso O. Panga. Later, SGV Indirect Tax Services Leader and Tax Principal Atty. Lucil Q. Vicerra will act as the moderator for the Q&A.

Perez delivered a short presentation at the 4th SGV Tax Symposium at Makati Shangri-La.   Shortly after, a panel Q&A discussing “Tax Transformation: Investment Facilitation Network (INFA-Net) and Other Emerging Trends” took place where several distinguished personalities participated, namely ARTA – Better Regulations Director Hon. Marbida L. Marbida; Board of Investments (BOI) – Investments Assistance Center Executive Director Hon. Atty. Bobby G. Fondevilla; Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) – Legal Group Deputy Commissioner Hon. Atty. Larry M. Barcelo; SGV Tax Partner and Business Tax Services Leader Atty. Cheryl Edeline Ong; and SGV Government & Infrastructure (G&I) and Economic Research Leader, and Strategy and Transactions Partner Marie Stephanie Hamed.   Another panel was subsequently held where Bureau of Local Government Finance (BLGF) Executive Director Hon. Consolacion Q. Agcaoili and SGV Tax Principal Atty. Jonald Vergara talked about “Fostering Growth and Development with Real Property Valuation and Assessment Reform Act (RPVARA) and other local government finance innovation.”

HAPPENING NOW: SGV & Co. commences the 4th SGV Tax Symposium at the Rizal Ballroom, Makati Shangri-La with the theme “From Compliance to Confidence: Trust, Transformation, and Transparency.” The event began with a brief introduction of the event from Tax Solutions and Foreign Direct Investments Leader and Markets Leader for Baguio and Head of Clark Atty. Margaux Advincula, followed by an opening message from Tax Leader Atty. Jules Riego. Shortly after, Department of Finance Undersecretary Hon. Charlito Martin R. Mendoza delivered the keynote address.
