ICEYE was honored to welcome Cezary Tomczyk, Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland, and Brig. Gen. Marcin Górka, Head of the Innovations Department at the Polish Ministry of Defense, to our headquarters today. The discussions focused on ICEYE’s role in strengthening Poland’s defense capabilities with cutting-edge SAR satellites, the first batch of which will be delivered to the Polish Armed Forces under the agreement signed in May. We also explored the strategic value of partnering with the Polish defense industry. Together with WZŁ-1 S.A., part of the Polish Armaments Group (PGZ), we will deliver advanced mobile ground infrastructure that ensures rapid tasking, secure data transmission, and effective integration with existing command systems. We look forward to continuing and expanding this partnership to enhance sovereign space-based reconnaissance and strengthen the security of Poland and Europe. 🚀 A new report on Technology Infrastructures is out!  Technology infrastructures are central to advancing industrial innovation & competitiveness. This is why, in May, we gathered hundreds of participants in Warsaw for the first European conference on Technology Infrastructures. Empowering local self-government is essential for Ukraine's reconstruction and European integration. By strengthening the administrative capacity of hromadas, Ukraine's democratically elected municipalities, we ensure that rebuilding efforts are inclusive, transparent and aligned with the community needs.      Through the projects such as U-LEAD with Europe, GIZ Ukraine supports municipalities in planning and managing reconstruction, fostering good governance and reform process. International partnerships facilitate knowledge transfer, helping to bring Ukraine’s local governance in line with EU standards.     Digitalisation is another important aspect of our engagement. At GIZ Ukraine we support educational initiatives like CDTO Campus to scale the network of digital leaders and bring innovation into the public administration.     In this video Bastian Veigel, Coordinator Good Multi-Level Governance Cluster, explains how GIZ Ukraine promotes good governance on different levels.
