Mike is a Senior Threat Hunter at Red Canary and has spent the last decade working in IT and information security. He started his career leading IT infrastructure teams in the Army, and later transitioned to information security and worked in security operations management, incident response, and threat hunting. As a Senior Threat Hunter, Mike works with customers to improve their security posture and hunt for, investigate, and respond to threats in their environments. Outside of work, he has a passion for spending time with his family, gardening, and skiing.

Atomic Red Team is an open source library of tests designed to test your organization’s ability to detect threat actor TTPs. Attendees of this optional two-hour session will get a crash course on configuring a testing environment, running atomic tests, and crafting adversary emulations based on the latest threat intelligence.

At Red Canary, Gerry now focuses on delivering tailored cloud detection and response solutions. He holds a Master's in Information Assurance from Norwich University and multiple industry certifications. Outside of cybersecurity, Gerry enjoys off-grid living in South Dakota.
