The annual Daddy Daughter Charity Ball celebrates the special relationship between fathers and daughters while immersing the little ones into a life of purpose, leadership, and philanthropic service.

With 16 participating fathers and their daughters at our inaugural edition in 2019, our event grew to 30 participating families in 2020, to 50 in 2022 and to 80 fathers and 90 daughters at the fourth edition on Sept 15, 2024.

The annual Daddy Daughter Charity Ball celebrates the special relationship between fathers and daughters while immersing the little ones into a life of purpose, leadership, and philanthropic service.

With 16 participating fathers and their daughters at our inaugural edition in 2019, our event grew to 30 participating families in 2020, to 50 in 2022 and to 80 fathers and 90 daughters at the fourth edition on Sept 15, 2024.

The funds raised from our first two events benefited 500 children attending Art Safari Kids, an educational program that facilitates access to creative workshops and art exhibitions for children ages 3 to 12 from both private & public schools, kindergartens, orphanages and daycare centers in and around Bucharest, Romania.

The funds raised at the third edition benefited the "Read Me 100 Stories!” narional program, which is meant to stimulate reading with children in kindergartens and family. Initiated in September 2020 by Asociatia OvidiuRo, the mission is to transform the approximately 4,500 public kindergartens in Romania into Kinder Libraries. Each public kindergarten has an average of 100 children and 5 educators. The cost for each Kinder Library is €1300 in an urban area and €3,000 in a rural area where more books and more staff training is required than in an urban area.

For the fourth edition, we partnered with Empathy Network, to raise awareness and money for two important programs:

GO-AHEAD: Provides socio-emotional and anti-bullying workshops to vocational high schools

Little Genius: Provides electricity through solar panels for families whose children study by candlelight.

The Alumni Leadership Council (ALC) was founded in 2006. The ALC represents the Pepperdine Alumni Association, and its 97,000 alumni in 80 countries. The ALC members serve as ambassadors for the University, and as advisers for alumni communications and engagement strategies. The course we designed, "Success 101," prepared college students to network into their dream job or to start their own business ventures.

Between the two semesters, we offered 109 young professionals from 33 universities from all over the world a 5-day "Success 101 Business Academy" where they had the opportunity to be mentored by 37 top executives, including five self-made multi millionaires.

In 2003, we hosted 64 guest speakers at Pepperdine University's undergraduate business program and some of them ended up hiring numerous of our students. Twenty years later today, we are proud that some of our students became self-made millionaires themselves and many are also doing great philanthropic work in their communities.

In 2004, we created the “Intern To President” program where we took 10 students in a super stretched limo from the Malibu campus to the offices of various presidents at top companies in the LA area. The one-hour drive in traffic was used to teach the various material we had taught in-class during the Success 101 course the year prior. After the two-hour visit at their offices, we used the one-hour driving back to campus to debrief about what the students learned from the host speake and drafted follow up emails for those students who who wished to pursue an internship with the speaker. YPGN is a non-profit mentoring organization set up to provide a forum for young professionals to interact and expand their professional networks.

Established in 1998, YPGN's membership consisted of 2,000 entrepreneurs, Fortune 500 executives, government officials and college students living and working throughout the U.S. and in 70 countries around the world.

The Investment Capital Conference (ICC) was LAVA's annual conference attracting over 1,000 attendees and 70-80 speakers. The budget of the conference back then was $350,000.

I was responsible for securing Ernest & Young as a sponsor and securing 9 out of the 106 speakers at the 2000 conference.

I organized most of the Asia Panel and the entire India Panel, which was moderated by Mr. Prannoy Roy, Chairman of New Delhi TV and featured the heads of prominent Indian conglomerates such as ICICI, Tata Consulting Services (TCS), KPMG India and Infosys Technologies.

The purpose of the Forum was to promote Chinese companies interested in tapping western capital markets. The Forum also provided Chinese executives the opportunity to meet financial and legal experts from the U.S. and exchange information on the regulatory issues facing Chinese companies when listing their shares on overseas exchanges.

The 3-day conference (November 18 -– 20, 2002) was held at the newly opened Nanjing International Exhibition Center. The purpose of the Forum was to promote Chinese companies interested in tapping western capital markets. The Forum'’s Organizing Committee chose the city of Nanjing, provincial capital of Jiangsu, as the location for the Forum due to its industrial strength and the success of its current East-West ventures.
