“Top 5 costly mistakes in solar PV projects – and how to avoid them” What I’ve learned from 8+ years in solar project development 1- Mistake: Rely on the titles of the specification! Yes, some engineers rely on the titles, especially in tenders. After years of experience, they think the point is similar to the previous project. - Solution: Study the specification in detail. 2- Mistake: Underestimate the mounting structure of the project. Especially for parking and ground-mount projects. Some projects are located in C-5 areas and need special structures. - Solution: Leave this part to the specialists. 3- Mistake: Regulatory & Permitting Gaps! one of the most important things to consider at the early stage of the project. Strengthening Greece’s Energy Infrastructure Hellenic Cables, the cables segment of Cenergy Holdings, has been awarded a turnkey contract by the Independent Power Transmission Operator (IPTO) for the new 150kV cable interconnection between Igoumenitsa and Corfu. Can Aslan, our Project Manager in Renewable Energy, recently participated in a panel discussion at Azerbaijan & Central Asia Green Energy Week 2025 in Baku. The event brought together experts to explore ways to accelerate solar PV deployment across the region. Can Aslan highlighted the 50 MW “Ufug” Solar Power Plant in Jabrayil – one of Azerbaijan’s landmark solar projects – as an example of how large-scale initiatives are driving the country’s clean energy transition. We’re proud to announce that TBEA have secured 3.1 GW in new solar energy projects under Provisional Measure MP 1212/2024. This includes 500 MW already under construction and 2.6 GW in new developments that have successfully completed the 5% bond payment. This milestone not only reinforces TBEA’s presence in Brazil but also represents 23% market share of the total volume of projects registered under MP 1212. MP 1212, published in April 2024, provides strategic incentives for renewable energy investments, including: • A 36-month extension for commercial operation start • Discounts on transmission and distribution tariffs (TUST/TUSD) • Mandatory construction start within 18 months
