ACWA Power welcomed a distinguished delegation of global investors and representatives from leading financial institutions to its flagship desalination and renewable energy projects — Rabigh 3, Rabigh 4 IWPs, and Al Shuaibah PV, as part of J.P.Morgan’s Energy Transition Investor Tour to Saudi Arabia. The visit reflected global investor confidence in #ACWAPower’s pivotal role in enabling the energy transition, highlighting our world-class operational excellence, scale, and commitment to innovation and sustainability as we continue to expand our global footprint. It also highlighted the strength of our integrated delivery model, combining ACWA Power’s leadership with the expertise of NOMAC, EPC partners, and on-site project teams, to drive consistent performance and disciplined execution. Together with the Social Development Bank (SDB), we celebrated a milestone in empowering Saudi SMEs within the renewable energy sector. This event brought to light the remarkable progress of the winning entrepreneurs from our Hackathon, which took place a few months ago. This initiative spotlighted young minds and showcased innovative ideas, pitches and concepts that can transform into real-world impact. 🇸🇳🤝🇸🇦 Our mission at ACWA Power is clear: to deliver affordable, reliable, and sustainable energy and water to the communities we serve across the Global South. 🌍 I am back in Senegal this week for the Investment Forum in Dakar, where we continue that mission with meaningful progress. Today, we signed head of terms for the development, financing, construction, and operation of a 300 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant . This will be the largest renewable energy project in Senegal and one of the largest IPP plant in sub-saharan Africa We are grateful to our partners Ministry of Energy, Petroleum and Mines and Senelec. The project will help Senegal meet its strategic goal of 40% renewable energy by 2030 and will avoid 350,000 tCO2/year while creating 100+ direct and indirect jobs. It further builds on our strong relationship with Senegal through the recently announced Grande Cote Desalination project being developed by ACWA Power. Collectively, these projects demonstrate the strength of the IPP and IWPP models, which enable governments and private partners to deliver lasting economic and social value through sustainable infrastructure.
