Back from a whirlwind 10 days in NYC and the Bay Area meeting with founders, LPs, potential hires, commercial realtors (👀), VC Operating Partners/COOs and even some colleagues (hi Simon, Richard!) ⏰ The time is now ⏰ 🇺🇸 While Creandum has a 15+ year footprint in the US, starting with Johan and now Carl on the ground, and backing several unicorns in both NYC and SF, it’s clear that this is still Day 1 for us - the opportunity in the US is huge. 🌎 Even as things like changes to the H1-B visa provide an opportunity for Europe to pick up more global talent, the US is still absolutely unique in terms of the boundless possibilities and hunger and optimism that the next generation of founders is bringing to the table. What’s the best MVP you’ve ever seen? When we first met Patrick at Superscale he sent me the product - not a deck. The team had whipped up an AI video editing studio in under a month and jacked it up to Black Forest Labs latest image to video models and a bevy of other creative tools - a dream workbench for any creative. As a Swede, I grew up looking up to the incredible marketing team at Volvo who made “The Greatest Split” and hung a semi-tractor from a crane in Gothenburg. So naturally, I made a Volvo ad. 😂🇸🇪 It took some polishing - but in under an hour I had a decent ad. But the essence of the product was there: democratizing great marketing for any business owner. Today the Superscale AI team continues to impress and ship with incredible speed and taste - and just became the first AI admaker to launch Sora 2 in under 12 hours (thanks Laura Modiano).
